Fastest way to level solo?
Hi, i'm new to this game and I dont really have any idea what im doing. I have a friend who tries to rush me through the game and frankly, its really boring. I'd rather play the game solo and get to 20 slowly but surely, but I find the solo quests really boring as well. Is there any way I can get to 20 just by doing primary quests and missions?
Also, I heard that you can do a high level quest where you have to kill a mirror of yourself (im an e/me) and can someone plz tell me where to do this and any strats on how to do it as a low level? My friend told me it was possible but very hard. Thanks in advance. |

I am guessing you have Guild Wars: Prophecies since your friend is talking about the Doppelganger. The mirror of yourself is the Doppelganger who is only available in the first Guild Wars. He can be found at Augry Rock after beating all three Crystal Desert missions. And in all the missions (not just from the Crystal Desert) you are able to gain much experience. And in the first Guild Wars there is the mission and then there is the bonus. When done with the bonus you gain experience too.

I have to admit, if you want to do mostly solo adventuring, you're probably not playing the right game. 90% of Guild Wars(A fake number, but it gets the right feeling across)is either unsoloable or VERY, VERY difficult to solo.
Since you're an E/Me, you've got a very good strategy available. Get empathy, and empty out your skillbar. Cast it on the schlump. Then just survive and, for the most part, wait for him to kill himself. |

maybe i should've made the title of the thread something else. I'm actualy ok with leveling with other people, I just don't really like the questing. The missions are pretty fun.
Also, thanks for the doppelganger help. |

If you defeat the doppelganger you get 50,000 XP. Kill him in under 50 seconds and you get an additional 1,000 (Counts as bonus). The point isn't to boost low-level chars up; it's to top you off at 20 if you're a few levels off and still at the doppelganger. Of course, if you play the game right and follow all the primary quests; you probably won't need the XP.
If I were you I'd stick to playing the game right your first time; then rushing characters around if you don't feel like experiencing all of story mode again. Be aware that Factions and Nightfall don't let you rush around; but you level much faster. |
